Reach A Regulator

Disclaimer

Reach A Regulator provides general information about government agencies. It is not legal advice, and using this site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Agency information may change; verify details with the agency directly.

Not legal advice

Everything on this site is general information about how government consumer-protection agencies work and how to contact them. It is not legal advice, and it is not a recommendation about what you specifically should do. We do not know the facts of your situation, the terms of your contract, or the deadlines that may apply to you.

If you need advice about your own circumstances, consult a licensed attorney in your state. Many offer a free initial consultation, and legal aid organizations serve people who cannot afford one.

No attorney-client relationship

Using this site, reading its pages, or submitting the optional complaint-tracking form does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and Reach A Regulator or anyone associated with it. Nothing you send us is protected by attorney-client privilege.

We are not a government agency

Reach A Regulator is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any federal, state, or local government agency. We do not file complaints on your behalf, we do not receive or process complaints, and we cannot check the status of a complaint you filed. When you file, you do so directly with the agency on its own website.

Agency information changes

We check the agency name, complaint link, and phone number for every entry before we publish it, and we re-check periodically. Even so, agencies reorganize, merge, and move their forms without notice. Always confirm details on the agency's own site, and treat the dates shown on our pages as the last time a human looked.

Found something wrong or out of date? Please tell us at hello@reacharegulator.com — corrections are genuinely welcome.

No guarantee of outcome

Filing a complaint with a regulator does not guarantee any particular result. Agencies act within the limits of their own authority. Most cannot order a company to pay you, and many cannot represent you individually. What they generally can do is require a company they license to respond, which is often enough — but it is not a promise.

Deadlines

Some claims are subject to legal deadlines, and filing a complaint with an agency usually does not pause them. Where we know an agency has its own filing deadline, we say so on that agency's page. That is not a complete list of the deadlines that might apply to you, and we cannot tell you what yours are.
